MAIT in the Future

There have been some very good results with MAIT over the last couple of years. THe English Premier League has stayed WELL above 50% (which is extremely high considering the prevalence of draws) and some very pleasing Super 14 results with an accuracy of around 70% or over (including no less than four perfect rounds in 2009, and a separate run of 18 consecutive games without an incorrect tip).

We've also added the MAIT Sports Blog, which has been subtitled "As We See It". It's been a bit quiet recently, but we'll be returning to articles with various views on the world of sport, including season previews for some of the leagues that MAIT is tipping.

Another feature which we're looking to add is prediction of the margins for matches (as well as the winner obviously) in the near future. The NRL competition looks like the ideal test bed for our algorithms, so hopefully that will kick in at some stage soon.

Horse Racing (in the form of the "StableMAIT" system) will again be part of the efforts being put in this year. The plan at the moment is to get a revised algorithm up and running live on the Irish and British racing scenes, as well as restarting the Australian version.

If you'd like to be kept up to date with developments then subscribe to the MAIT emailing list.
